The Print & Copy Services Department provides inexpensive printing, copy and bindery services to the SOU campus community. This position supports the department by managing the front office, assisting with printing/copy needs, maintaining accounts, and using bindery machines.
Minimum Requirements
- Two years of experience in the operation and maintenance of high-speed industrial copiers and related equipment.
- Familiarity with associated software and file transfer networks.
Preferred Requirements
- Prior experience in the printing industry.
- Prior experience using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- Two years of general clerical experience, or equivalent education.
Essential Functions
Duties include completing work orders, inputting data, maintaining files, and supporting expenditure tracking.
Composes correspondence, manages paper inventory, updates procedures, prepares budget projections, and uses Adobe Photoshop and InDesign for print jobs.
Operates equipment like Xerox J75, handles maintenance, prioritizes jobs, manages confidential materials, and supervises student employees.
Assists campus community with copying/printing, provides information, generates quotes, explains pricing and procedures, and handles billing inquiries.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving, and computer skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and foster teamwork.
Physical Demands
Normal office activities with ability to move/transport 50 pounds. Environment can be noisy and stressful.
Special Conditions
Must attend off-site training, work additional hours as needed, pass a background check, and comply with reporting requirements.
