Essential Job Duties:
NC State University is currently hiring an EHRA (1.0 FTE) Project Coordinator in the Department of Agricultural and Human Sciences at NC State University to lead two community-focused projects. The incumbent will provide organization and programmatic oversight for the project occurring in ten counties (Bertie, Columbus, Halifax, Hertford, Jones, Lenoir, Northampton, Robeson, Warren, and Washington). Duties will include overseeing curriculum development for nutrition access programming (a produce prescription program and a mobile market program) in ten counties (previously mentioned) and diabetes education and support programming in four counties (Bertie, Halifax, Hertford, and Northampton). The incumbent will also lead the communication efforts with project participants and stakeholders. The incumbent must be organized and dependable and possess excellent communication skills.
Essential job duties may include, but are not limited to:
Oversee curriculum development for NCSU's nutrition access programming, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Enhancing the direct education curriculums for a produce prescription program and a mobile produce market program in ten NC counties, while maintaining timely communication with the Principal Investigator (PI), food hubs, clinical partners, FCS Agents, and other community stakeholders on all activities.
- Identifying, training, and collaborating with clinical partners in each county, along with assistance from Extension Agents and the Plants for Human Health Translational Nutrition Manager.
- Managing, tracking, and reporting engagement in direct nutrition education programs related to produce prescription and mobile market programs.
- Collecting and reporting participant feedback through various means (surveys, text, focus groups).
- Managing the expenditures related to curriculum development for the produce prescription and mobile market programs and advising the PIs on expenditures.
- Provide oversight to the dietetic interns, graduate students, and undergraduate students employed by the project, including but not limited to scheduling, delegating roles, and providing evaluation.
- Coordinating public messaging strategies and the publication process related to nutrition access outcomes with the Healthy ROOTS Program Coordinator.
- Leading meetings related to curriculum development for the produce prescription and mobile market, and maintaining detailed notes and record keeping.
- Support all Institutional Review Board approvals through NC State University as needed.
- Assist in the writing and revising of manuscripts for a professional presentation at the regional, national, and international levels in accordance with the grant activities for the produce prescription and mobile market programs.
Oversee NCSU's Health Extension for Diabetes (HED) program, which includes but is not limited to:
- Expanding the HED program to additional NC counties, while maintaining timely communication with the Principal Investigators (PIs), clinical partners, FCS Agents, and other community stakeholders on all activities.
- Oversee the FCS Agents, clinical partners, and dietetic interns delivering the program in each county.
- Oversee program fidelity, including managing, tracking, and reporting program health and nutrition outcomes, participant referrals, enrollment, and program completion.
- Collecting and reporting participant feedback through surveys and focus groups.
- Managing purchasing needs (e.g., equipment, supplies, travel) related to the HED program and advising the PIs on expenditures.
- Providing oversight to the graduate, undergraduate students, and dietetic interns employed by the project, including but not limited to scheduling, delegating roles, and providing evaluation
- Organizing and maintaining the team's Project Management system for the diabetes program, including effective use of the system to track project progress, contacts, and resources.
- Leading the diabetes program meetings with FCS Agents and clinical partners, and maintaining detailed notes and record-keeping for both programs
- Leading public messaging strategies and the publication process of diabetes program outcomes through social media, news articles, technical reports, peer-reviewed journals, and other outlets, as determined by the PI team, county-level staff, and the community
- Assisting in the writing and revising of manuscripts for a professional presentation at the regional, national, and international levels in accordance with grant activities.
This position will be located in Raleigh, NC.
Other Work/Responsibilities:
- Pursue and secure grants, gifts, or contracts to support program.
Minimum Experience/Education:
- Postbaccalaureate credentials or a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent professional training and experience.
- At least two years of experience with health promotion programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions
- Ability to make oral and written presentations on the analysis of a project
- Ability to communicate with professional and administrative personnel
Knowledge of:
- Database structure and functions
- General methods and techniques of social research, planning, and evaluation
- Best practice strategies/methodologies to meet data management requirements
Experience:
- Managing large volumes of data
- Increasing response rates for surveys
- Preparing and analyzing data
Preferred Qualifications:
- Earned master's degree in nutrition, public health, or a closely related field.
- Registered Dietitian (or eligible for credentialing)
- Demonstrated experience in project management is expected.
- Experience working in the area of project management
- Effective oral and written communication skills for student lay, and professional audiences.
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, team building, problem-solving ability, networking skills, and ability to work with varied groups.
Required License or Certification:
- A valid NC driver's license is required and must be maintained.
