Responsibility
- 75 - Tutor students who request STEM assistance: individual to small group sessions in math/stats drop-in, one-on-one appointments in STEM disciplines. Tutoring may be online or in the center. Tutors will write notes in our tutor management system for individual appointments.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or higher in a STEM discipline or related area
- Knowledge of successful strategies for tutoring a diverse college student population
- Demonstrated commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (especially inclusion of groups historically excluded from STEM fields) as well as anti-racist tutoring praxis
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in person on Suffolk’s downtown Boston campus
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Creativity and flexibility in tutoring
- Experience with EAB Navigate, TutorTrac, WCOnline, or other appointment management platforms a plus
The salary range for this role is $40 per hour.
