The Department of Law and Business invites applications for academic positions in the rank of Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor to start in September 2026. Applicants should possess a doctoral/master's qualification in relevant academic and/or professional qualifications in law and demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate level in at least one but preferably more of the following areas: Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure, Evidence, Criminal Law, Mooting and Advocacy, Corporate Secretaryship, Legal Environmental of Business, Intellectual Property Law, and Mediation and Disputes Resolution. Candidates who can demonstrate research experience would be at an advantage. The appointees are expected to support the department with administrative duties. The academic rank offered will be commensurate with the academic and/or professional qualification and experience of the successful candidate. The appointment is contract-based initially commencing in 2026 and renewable upon mutual agreement.

Requirements

Doctoral/master's qualification in relevant academic and/or professional qualifications in law.

Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate level in at least one but preferably more of the following areas: Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure, Evidence, Criminal Law, Mooting and Advocacy, Corporate Secretaryship, Legal Environmental of Business, Intellectual Property Law, and Mediation and Disputes Resolution.

Research experience is an advantage.

Willingness to support the department with administrative duties.
