Psychology, situated within the prestigious Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at CityU, is seeking applications from outstanding scholars. We seek applicants with a record of excellence in research and publication, securing external funding and delivering innovative and high-quality education.
Duties
The successful candidate will perform undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum and programme development, supervise students on research projects, and managing student activities and academic programmes. They will undertake impactful research, participate in interdisciplinary projects, contribute to departmental administration and knowledge transfer, work collegially with other CityU members, and represent the department in the public sphere.
Requirements
A PhD in Psychology/Cognitive Neuroscience/Neuropsychology, or related fields. Candidates must have a strong record in research and teaching. Candidates for Assistant/Associate Professor should have a strong track record with publications in leading academic journals and a good record of successful acquisition of external grants. Candidates for Professor should also have a proven record of international leadership in the respective research areas and professional activities, in addition to the above-mentioned requirements.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
