The Dean of the Faculty of Sports Studies at Masaryk University announces a selection procedure for the position of: Professor in the field of kinanthropology/sports science
The Faculty of Sports Studies at Masaryk University is a dynamically developing faculty located in the modern premises of the University Campus in Brno-Bohunice. Our mission is to contribute through student education, scientific activity, and social engagement to a physically active and healthy life for all age and performance groups of the population, to the development of knowledge in the field of sports, and to respect for the rules of fair play in sports and in everyday life.
We are looking for a renowned figure in the field of Kinanthropology/Sports Science, who has international research results and experience in leading significant projects.
Job description:
- Solving basic or applied research or development tasks of decisive importance for the development of the scientific field of kinanthropology, the results of which are published in internationally renowned peer-reviewed journals or scientific monographs,
- Active participation in domestic and international scientific conferences, presentation of research results at conferences and other professional meetings.
- Leadership or creative coordination of the most demanding international or key national research projects.
- Supervision of doctoral students,
- Teaching specialised lectures, seminars, or other forms of instruction in doctoral and master's programs,
- Membership in committees for state doctoral examinations and doctoral dissertation defences, participation in committees for state final examinations,
- Opponent assessment of doctoral and habilitation theses, or opponent activity in habilitation or appointment proceedings.
We require:
- Academic title of "professor" in the field of kinanthropology/sports science,
- International orientation with excellent research results and educational competencies in the field of kinesiology,
- Previous successful completion of national and international research projects,
- Authorship/co-authorship of professional articles published in journals included in quartiles 1 and 2 of the Web of Science/Scopus databases,
- Ability to present research results in Czech and English.
