About the role:
Operating within Computer Science and Data Science, the Professor of Computer Science and Data Science will provide academic leadership across teaching, research, and industry engagement in computer science, software engineering, information technology, and/or data science. The role will lead the development and delivery of programs in computer science and data science, including oversight of teaching teams and curriculum innovation within an incubator-based environment. Experience contributing to innovation-focused or emerging program development will be highly regarded. The role will also ensure consistent academic standards across campuses and delivery modes. The appointee will have a strong research track record and will contribute to the University's research profile through publications, competitive funding, and industry partnerships. The role includes supervising Higher Degree Research students, strengthening the integration of research and teaching, and contributing to a collaborative academic culture consistent with the expectations of a Professor. This includes leading curriculum accreditation and quality assurance processes in line with relevant regulatory and professional standards. The position will support the University's strategic growth in computer science and data science, with opportunities to build national and international industry partnerships and enhance the University's external profile.

What we offer:

- Total remuneration valued to $260,037 - $260,037 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $220,723 - $220,723 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level E Increment 1), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
- Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
