Job Duties

Richard Bland College (RBC) is a two-year, residential, liberal arts transfer institution that focuses on preparing students for transfer to highly ranked colleges and universities. The College is a hidden gem located outside the Tri-Cities region-and its rural setting featuring 750+ acres of wetlands, bucolic forest, and the state's oldest and largest pecan grove.

Richard Bland College is currently seeking an exceptional Psychology Professor to serve in a permanent, non-tenure track, full-time position (with the option of renewal based upon performance and college policy). The primary role of these positions is to provide college-level instruction and academic-related activities designed to encourage, support, and enable student success. In addition to teaching Psychology at all levels and supporting development of stronger interdisciplinary ties with other departments, duties include student advising and committee service under our shared governance structure as part of the Social & Behavioral Sciences Department at the College. Reporting to the Chair of the Social & Behavioral Sciences, these faculty members will be an integral part of our academic community.

Job Specifications:

This position's major responsibilities include:
  • Teaching Psychology courses in various modalities including fully in-seat, hybrid, and online in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures.
