The appointee will support all aspects of academic activities including teaching of Biomedical (Molecular Diagnostics, Genetics, Immunology, Biochemistry) and/or Forensic Science courses (e.g. Chemistry. Toxicology, Forensic DNA, Biomedical Criminalistics, Techniques in Human identification and Crime Scene Investigations, and related courses), research, and consultancy; actively contribute to the planning, formulation and implementation of the College and School’s strategic direction and development; take a leading role and participate in programme development and validation exercises; contribute to academic and school administration; lead and supervise the work of academic staff involved in prescribed courses / programmes; take up responsibilities in academic and departmental administration and clinical teaching; guide / facilitate the College in enhancing its visibility and strengthening its local and international connections; build and develop an extensive network of contacts and colleagues to develop and enhance College market position and reputation; provide leadership in promoting good teaching and collaborative research; liaise with external bodies for job placements and professional development; perform scholarly activities; facilitate the development and enhancement of the discipline through quality research and publications including seeking external grants and raise the level of consultancies in respective discipline(s); oversee and perform academic activities including academic advising, examination and assessment, student recruitment, committee works, whole person development activities of students; undertake professional service to external professional body / organization and provide public services to the community.

For Professor / Associate Professor position, applicants should possess a PhD degree / Professional Doctorate in a relevant discipline with extensive relevant experience in teaching in the tertiary education sector, programme development and programme leadership; publications in journals (desirably with international reputation) and with high impact in the relevant discipline; and demonstration as an active researcher.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
