The Role

As Professor, you will provide academic and strategic leadership for this innovative programme, ensuring alignment with international benchmarks, emerging technologies, and industry needs. You will design and deliver teaching and research that integrates AI, IoT, AR/VR, and interactive media into creative and spatial design.

You will also be expected to:

• Lead research initiatives in smart environments, design innovation, and human-centred spatial interaction.
• Mentor faculty and students in research-led and industry-driven projects.
• Strengthen partnerships with industry leaders, government agencies, and international institutions.
• Contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and internationalisation efforts within the faculty.

Candidate Profile

Candidates should hold a PhD in Design, Smart Environments, Interaction Design, Immersive & Interactive Design, or a related field, and bring:

• A proven record of teaching, research, and high-impact publications (Scopus/Clarivate).
• Extensive industry experience in smart design, digital environments, or immersive spatial interaction.
• Expertise in the use of emerging technologies within creative and spatial design.
• Leadership in programme development, securing research funding, and supervising postgraduate students.
• An international outlook, with strong global networks in creative industries, technology, and design research.
