Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Program Assistant to deliver secure, accessible, and student-centered assessment services that support educational and career progression. This position ensures the integrity and compliance of all testing operations while providing responsive, professional service to diverse student populations. Through accuracy, accountability, and collaboration, the Program Assistant helps maintain a trusted testing environment that supports student success. This position reports to the Director for Assessment Center.

Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary contact for assessment participants; provide information on testing procedures, manage check-in and documentation verification, deliver group instructions, coordinate accommodated testing for students with approved accommodations, and proctor in-person, online, and off-site assessments;
- Prepare and manage daily testing operations, including rosters, testing materials documentation verification, record editing, maintaining records, score reporting, lab set-up, in-room proctoring, and troubleshooting exam delivery issues;
- Coordinate with testing sponsors and technical support teams to address technical issues during assessment sessions and submit required incident reports;
- Ensure and maintain the security of test materials, confidentiality of test results, and compliance with all testing standards and guidelines, including those of the National College Testing Association;
- Maintain required certifications, including Pearson Vue authorization to serve as an authorized GED Examiner, and complete ongoing training to meet publisher requirements;
- Provide high-level customer service assistance to students, staff, and the public regarding Assessment Center and testing services; assist students who visit the center and respond to emails and phone calls;
- Accurately enter and maintain assessment and testing data in SMS and other testing sources or publisher records; organize and maintain related files and statistical data, and prepare narrative and statistical reports on testing and program operations;
- Schedule testing activities, including individual appointments and large testing sessions, and provide proctoring services at assigned off-site facilities while supporting diverse student populations;
- Facilitate internal communication, collaboration, and documentation for testing operations by sharing timely updates, maintaining organized resources, and supporting team readiness to ensure efficient service delivery; and
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Two (2) years of full-time clerical experience; and
- Bilingual and biliterate in English and in Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from an institutionally accredited college or university; and
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
