Program Management Specialist, Pediatric Infectious Disease
Job Summary
The program manager will be working with Dr. Enane is supporting her research program. This will include complex coordination of multiple international research studies funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The program manager will manage Institutional Review Board (IRB) and regulatory submissions at IU, and coordination of timely IRB and regulatory submissions at participating international sites.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Maintains close communication and coordination with international teams and with the IU IRB
- Develops and tracks project timelines, activities, and milestones; ensures that activities are on track and that milestones are being met; monitors meeting agendas and meeting minutes, and tracks action items for each project
- Coordinates with teams to assess the status of study supplies, and supports shipments or purchasing of supplies where appropriate; follows up on budget expenditures and resources
- Prepares progress reports for funders; prepares brief research summaries and reports for funders and stakeholders
- Supports preparation of grant submissions, including coordination and communication across investigators, outlining deadlines for application components, drafting of documents, and preparation of budgets
General Responsibilities
- Collaborates with team members to develop program objectives and create policies to meet them
- Coordinates program operation with all collaborative units
- Monitors progress and maintains all necessary data bases
- Actively recruits program participants and researches new venues and methods of recruitment
- May provide guidance to support and temporary staff and coordinates workflow for the program
- Researches available grants and assists creating funding proposals that further advance support of the program
- Writes grant reports
- Administers program budgets

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.
