Responsibilities

• The Program Manager for Student Organizations & Involvement is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that celebrate and enhance University pride and traditions, including Homecoming, and other signature events. This position oversees the planning and execution of engaging activities that foster campus community and connections.
• Responsible for development, implementation, and assessment of campus wide traditions including but not limited to Homecoming and Garnet & Gold Tailgates. Serve as department liaison for all divisional tradition initiatives including Hello FSU, Welcome FSU, Farewell FSU, and more. Develop and implement new tradition-based programming to meet the changing needs of the student population. Assess the needs and interest of students, faculty, and staff to enhance the program area.
• Supervise one program coordinator and up to one graduate assistant. Provide daily support and overall vision for the program areas within scope of supervision. Conduct annual evaluations for these positions. Assist with the recruitment and training of the staff in these roles.
• Advise and mentor student leaders involved in planning and executing tradition-related events. Provide direct support to the Homecoming Council, ensure the development and implementation of Homecoming Council Events. Support the University Homecoming Committee in enhancing campus-wide Homecoming initiatives.
• Oversee the development and management of a $250,000 annual budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with University policies.
• Cultivates partnerships and serves on various departmental, divisional, and campus committees. Serves as a liaison for the University Homecoming Committee and collaborative divisional programming initiatives. Participates in the Engagement Team and DSA initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)

Anticipated Salary Range

The anticipated starting salary is $48,000, commensurate with education and experience.
