Job Description Summary:

The Program Manager will oversee assigned KUCTT/Project ECHO (Extension of Community Healthcare Outcomes) initiatives at KUMC. Project ECHO leverages videoconferencing technology to connect specialist teams at KUMC with primary care providers throughout the region, supporting a collaborative, case-based learning model through which participants can earn continuing education credits.

In partnership with the Director of Telemedicine, the Program Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of telehealth and Project ECHO activities across established priority areas-such as behavioral health and health equity-while also supporting the expansion of ECHO into new focus areas.

Serving as a key liaison, the Program Manager will facilitate strong, ongoing collaboration between KUMC clinical teams, educators, and community-based partners, helping to build, strengthen, and sustain these relationships.

Anticipated hiring range is $61,000 - $65,000

Job Duties Outlined

  • Under the guidance of the Director, coordinate the logistics and programmatic aspects of Project ECHO development and implementation.
  • Support the KUMC clinical/educational team in leading Project ECHO courses.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with subject matter experts to support Project ECHO recruitment and participation.
  • Liaise with continuing education colleagues for CME and CNE accreditation of curriculum.
  • Coordinate activities and facilitate meetings with a variety of individuals from within KUMC, community agencies, state agencies, healthcare organizations, as well as higher education, healthcare, and government agencies in other states.
  • Conduct needs assessments, analyze results, and incorporate findings into program planning.
  • Attend and monitor Project ECHO clinics and educational courses; monitor HIPAA compliance, oversee collection and distribution of course materials and case presentations.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and provide technical support to internal teams and remote sites; coordinate with systems staff to ensure reliable connectivity for all Project ECHO sessions.
  • Facilitate operational meetings of the Project ECHO Team.
  • Assist the Project ECHO project team with program evaluation and needs assessment activities.
  • In collaboration with the Telemedicine Digital Media and Marketing Coordinator and KUMC web developers, assist with the promotion of ECHO activities.
  • Support implementation of telehealth initiatives beyond Project ECHO, including training, technical assistance, and network-based activities.
  • Assist with coordination of telehealth-related projects across multiple funding streams, including state and federally funded programs.
  • In collaboration with the Director, seek and develop outside funding sources for Telehealth and Project ECHO activities.

Work Environment

This position will work in-office, with some consideration of hybrid (in-office/remote) after the probationary period.

Required Qualifications

Work Experience:

  • 6 years of relevant experience in health science, nursing, public health, behavioral health, education, communication, or health administration. Relevant education may substitute on a year for year basis.
  • 2 years of project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification: Project Management Certification (PMP).

Work Experience:

  • Experience with project-related technologies including telehealth/telemedicine and mHealth approaches.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare field.
  • Experience with public health and/or broader work with communities.
  • Experience with grant writing, distance education, continuing education (CE) program development and administration, and program marketing/promotion.

Pay Range

Minimum: $60,800.00
Midpoint: $76,000.00
Maximum: $91,200.00
