Salary Range

$61,023 - $80,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary

The Manager provides operational management of the Office of Inclusive Services (OIS), a nationally accredited Inclusive Post-Secondary Education program dedicated to advancing equitable access to the university for students with intellectual disabilities. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the program and supervising professional and support staff to ensure effective delivery of services aligned with university and divisional goals.

The Manager develops and implements processes, procedures, and operational practices that support inclusive academic, employment, and campus engagement opportunities. The position ensures high-quality service delivery, supports compliance with accreditation standards, and collaborates with university departments, community partners, governmental agencies, students, and families to support student success and advance inclusive higher education initiatives.

*This program and position is housed within the College of Education and reports to the Associate Dean.

Essential Functions

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of Inclusive Services (OIS), ensuring program services and activities align with university and divisional goals and priorities.
  • Supervise professional and support staff within OIS, including hiring, training, performance management, work planning, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement operational processes and procedures that support effective service delivery and program efficiency.
  • Oversee the coordination of services related to academic access, employment development, social engagement, and independent living supports for participating students.
  • Direct program planning, assessment, and evaluation activities to monitor outcomes and support continuous improvement of services.
  • Manage administrative and operational processes related to admissions, billing, registration, advising, course modifications, employment supports, and program participation.
  • Monitor and manage program budgets, including coordinating expenditures, resource allocation, and financial tracking in accordance with university policies.
  • Ensure program compliance with national accreditation standards according to the Inclusive Higher Education Accreditation Council and applicable federal, state, and university regulations.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with university departments, faculty, community partners, and external agencies to support program operations and student success.
  • Oversee the coordination and development of campus and community-based internships and employment opportunities for participating students.
  • Ensure individualized employment supports are implemented effectively, including job coaching coordination, resume development, interview preparation, and employment-related problem solving.
  • Coordinate collaboration with governmental agencies, including preparation and submission of Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) assessment reports three times per semester.
  • Monitor program operations and identify opportunities for operational improvements that strengthen service delivery and student outcomes.
  • Maintain effective communication, documentation, and organizational practices to ensure program accountability, compliance, and sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required.
  • Ideal candidate has a Master's degree in Special Education, Education, or a closely related field.
  • Significant experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs, services, or functional work units is required.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing professional or support staff is required.
  • Experience collaborating and coordinating services with governmental agencies and community partners is highly desired.
  • Experience working with inclusive higher education post-secondary programs is highly preferred.
