Goldsmiths is a world-renowned university that has a reputation for rigorous and innovative academic work; creativity has long been our hallmark. Academic excellence and imaginative course content combine to make a place where creative minds can thrive.

About the Department

The CoSTAR Foresight Lab is seeking a Programme Manager to lead its administration and project management. The Foresight Lab is a £7.5m research project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). It is part of the CoSTAR Network (https://www.costarnetwork.co.uk/). The Foresight Lab is researching the adoption, use and impact of new technologies in Games, Film, TV, Performance and Digital Entertainment.

About the Role

As Foresight Lab Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth delivery of the Foresight Lab’s ambitious, distributed multi-partner research plan. You will work most closely with the Foresight Lab Director, and Lab Co-Directors at the BFI, University of Edinburgh, and Loughborough University), as well as the wider Foresight Lab teams at these organisations. The role will involve extensive engagement with Professional Services teams at Goldsmiths, and frequent interaction with external partners.

About the Candidate

Your role will span liaison across multiple project partners, delivery partners and contractors, project planning and monitoring, formal reporting to the funder, procurement and contract management, and communications management. As such this is a senior research management position with excellent growth opportunities. The post would suit an experienced project manager with experience in a hands-on role in a fast-moving, complex project operating at the cutting edge of advanced/ converged media production technologies and practice, or related areas. We are looking for a socially skilled, flexible and pragmatic individual with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.

Equality Diversity and Inclusion

At Goldsmiths, University of London, we are deeply committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in both principle and practice. We work to ensure that EDI is embedded across all areas of university life from our policies and teaching to the experiences of our students and staff. Creating an inclusive and respectful environment where everyone feels they belong is central to our values. We recognise that people thrive when they are seen, heard, and valued for who they are. That’s why we’re committed to removing barriers, addressing inequalities, and supporting the success and wellbeing of our whole community regardless of background, identity, or circumstance. We know that building an inclusive institution takes sustained effort, collaboration, and openness to change. At Goldsmiths, we are approaching this work with purpose, transparency, and care because EDI is not a single initiative, but a shared responsibility.
