We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Coordinator to join our multi-laboratory team for a major research project involving human tissue samples to be analyzed with cutting edge single cell and spatial biology methodologies. This role is essential for coordinating complex project tasks, coordinating biobanks and processing samples, and facilitating effective communication of project results. You will be working full-time, i.e. 40h per week).

Your mission
- Project Coordination: Oversee and coordinate project activities across three collaborative laboratories, managing timelines, resources, and communications to ensure smooth project flow.
- Ethical Compliance and Documentation: Work with ethical permits, material transfer agreements, and other regulatory documents. Experience with biobanking, especially in Sweden is a plus.
- Biobank Management: Establish and maintain a biobank for human samples, ensuring accurate and thorough metadata documentation, quality control, and organization of all stored samples.
- Sample Handling and Processing: Receive, process, and prepare human samples for biobanking in accordance with project protocols. Experience with single cell suspensions and organoid culture is required.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and facilitate regular meetings with project teams to discuss progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment across laboratories.
- Results Communication: Coordinate and execute the communication of project results, including preparing data summaries, presentations, and reports
Your profile
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is a requirement since this is the primary language for research communication.
- Project Management Experience: Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-faceted research projects is strongly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain structured workflows.
- Technical Skills: Experience with sample handling and bench work. In Particular with single cell suspension, organoid culture and biobanking experience. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and Word is beneficial for effective data presentation and communication.

Location
The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of ten divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the division of Immunology and Respiratory Medicine in the lab of Dr. Eduardo Villablanca, which is physically located in the Center of Molecular Medicine (CMM) building. The group works in the inspiring and interactive research environment at CMM and the Karolinska Institutet, Solna and has ongoing collaborative projects with national and international colleagues. The research is focused on mucosal immunology and the specific project on inflammatory bowel disease and mucosal healing. The position entails coordinating the work between the Villablanca lab and Hedin lab at Karolinska and the Giacomello lab at SciLifeLab, all located in Solna and will also mean moving between these locations for sample collection/delivery. Some work task might be performed at Sci Life Lab.
