Job Summary:

The University of Wisconsin Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention (UW-CTRI) offers a unique opportunity for a Project Coordinator to be based in the Boston, Massachusetts area and support multiple complex grant-funded projects focused on enhancing the use of evidence-based tobacco treatment in partnership with community organizations. These include a P01 grant-funded project to enhance the use of evidence-based tobacco treatment in partnership with 16 Community Health Centers (CHCs), including eight in Wisconsin and eight in Massachusetts; and a UH3 grant-funded project to evaluate strategies to connect clients at 16 Salvation Army (SA) sites in Wisconsin with evidence-based tobacco treatment.

This is a remote, Boston-based position. The position will coordinate with and support CHC and SA sites in Massachusetts and Wisconsin, with most meetings and operations primarily held virtually, and in-person site visits and meetings with Massachusetts partners as required. Infrequent travel to Wisconsin for project meetings may also be required. This position requires bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

The Project Coordinator will promote the effective functioning and collaboration of relevant groups to accomplish the aims of the research projects. They will be responsible for coordinating the activities of research teams, community partners, and external vendors; scheduling meetings and facilitating communications between these parties; and tracking tasks and maintaining records to monitor progress towards project goals. They will also support data collection, management, coding, and dissemination efforts by conducting qualitative interviews, supporting patient outreach and navigation, coding data, and monitoring the activities of the data management teams. They will need to use both English- and Spanish-speaking skills for interviews and interactions with patients and participants in these projects. They will collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and refine project plans, systems, and protocols and will work to maintain those systems throughout the life cycles of projects.
  • It is anticipated that this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location.
