Job Title: Project Manager
Department: Business Advancement | Schottenstein Center Operations Administration
Job Description
Works with Building Engineer to determine facility needs for events, including event set ups and post event cleaning. Assists in major and minor building repair and routine cleaning. Assists in general maintenance and upkeep of facility. Liaison to University departments to manage building systems, including, but not limited to: Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI), Athletics IT and Facilities Operations and Development (FOD) Lock and Key Services.
Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of projects following a logical pattern for utilization of resources. Ensures projects run according to schedule, meet financial objectives and university core goals while exercising independent judgment. Coordinate pricing and proposals with contractors on projects. Monitors construction timeline and ensures that contractors are maintaining schedule and budgets.
Supervises student workers to perform a variety of projects. Assists with recruiting orientation and training of student workers and the development of all training programs. Assists in payroll processing and other administrative functions. Prepares event reports and event checklists.
The Project Manager may be required for 24 hour emergency call. Ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays required.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years experience managing design and construction projects, facilities management or planning or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Familiarity with state and local building codes required. Knowledge of building systems, design and construction techniques. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of customers and management levels. Proven organizational and problem solving skills. Microsoft Office software knowledge required. Valid drivers license required. Knowledge of applicable codes and regulatory requirements such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Ohio Building Code (OBC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) preferred. Experience negotiating contracts desired. Ability to work long hours and a flexible schedule; including evenings, weekends and holidays required.

Additional Information:
The target hiring range for this job profile is $ 24.76 - $32.33/hr. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
