Project Manager for Digital Learning Innovation

As the Project Manager for Digital Learning Innovation, you will work in close partnership with the Faculty Lead to manage, coordinate, and operationalize online programming initiatives at the School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS). You will support effective teamwork from inception to completion of projects, ensuring continuity once the programs are launched. You will facilitate communication and coordinated activity among the advisory and operational teams. This includes working with faculty creating coursework and collaborating with technical development staff in the Center for Academic Innovation. Additionally, staff from several areas at SEAS are involved, including Marketing and Communications, Student Services, Information Technology Services, and Finance.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to creatively and collaboratively guide day-to-day operations, including managing and informing meetings, timelines, tasks, files, and funding in a way that supports strategic and impactful curricular innovations in the field of sustainability science.
Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Project Management
- Develop and adaptively update detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, status reports, progress tracking and projections for the development, evaluation, and continuity of Sustainability-focused online courses
- Develop and maintain sufficient organizational knowledge to support effective communication and coordination among multiple departments and contributors
- Manage scope of projects to maintain timelines within identified constraints
- Maintain transparent documentation for the project owner or leadership team
- Use project management software to track and maintain project timelines
- Apply knowledge in curricular innovation or online learning platforms to inform recommendations, risk assessments, and resource planning
- Maintain accurate budget forecasting and oversight for digital learning programs
Admissions and Recruitment
- Conduct research and review of existing programs and prospective audiences to help inform marketing, recruitment, and retention efforts
- Identify and attend recruitment events and opportunities to promote digital learning program(s) at SEAS
- Partner with SEAS/PitE Admissions and Recruitment team to support inquiry management and the recruitment and admissions process of students to digital learning opportunities
- Manage, organize, and analyze digital learning recruitment data in compliance with University, State, and Federal regulations on student recruitment data
Administrative Support
- Organize and schedule meetings and events necessary for project management and completion of deliverables
- Support logistics for use of required equipment in the creation of online learning content
- Collaborate with procurement teams and information technology teams to acquire equipment, software, and/or manage use of existing spaces and technology
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, environmental studies or similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated professional experience in managing multi-year projects with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in engaging in, creating, or managing digital learning
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms
- Proficiency with spreadsheet software (Excel, Sheets, etc.)
- Experience with using project management software or task tracking systems
- Background in, or demonstrated interest in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or related fields that support the mission of SEAS
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal Project Management Certification (PMP, etc.)
- Experience in college or university admissions and recruitment
- Familiarity with automated email marketing campaigns and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms (e.g. Salesforce)
Salary will be determined based on experience.
