In this role, you will manage a national Indigenous research project that centres community priorities and strengths. You will coordinate stakeholders, events and governance processes, gaining rich experience in Indigenous health research and policy engagement. You will help turn evidence into practical change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
What you will deliver:
  • Lead day-to-day project management to deliver milestones on time, within scope and aligned with budgets.
  • Coordinate ethics, governance and contractual documentation, ensuring compliance with University and partner requirements.
  • Build and sustain respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and other key stakeholders.
  • Plan and deliver workshops, forums and community panels, including logistics, facilitation support and follow-up reporting.
  • Monitor risks, issues and data governance practices, providing clear reports and advice to project leaders and funders.

  • Hold a relevant degree and substantial experience managing complex projects in research or higher education settings.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of research infrastructure, including data management, governance processes and impact tracking.
  • Manage multiple priorities with strong planning, organisational and analytical skills in dynamic, multi-partner environments.
  • Bring experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities or Indigenous-led organisations.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, producing high-quality briefs, reports, presentations and stakeholder correspondence.
  • Collaborate effectively with distributed teams, exercising sound judgement, initiative and tact when resolving project challenges.
