OFMD manages the maintenance and operation of more than 65 buildings, encompassing over 14.8 million gross square feet, including the 11-story, 609,000-square-foot Neuroscience Research Building (NRB), home to one of the worldâ™s largest concentrations of neuroscientists. Project Managers support and lead facilities and capital projects from early planning through project completion and close-out, ensuring alignment with departmental project delivery processes and institutional priorities. Serving as the ownerâ™s representative, they coordinate and facilitate all design and construction activities, gather and refine project requirements, and maintain thorough documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Work includes organizing and facilitating project meetings, development and monitoring of project budgets, schedules, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and institutional standards. Project Managers communicate effectively with stakeholders, provide guidance on architectural and building systems, and escalate or resolve issues to support successful project outcomes. As project complexity increases, they take on broader oversight, integrate input from campus partners, and recommend effective solutions that balance quality, schedule, and institutional goals.
