Reporting directly to President Baca, the provost provides strategic direction and executive leadership for all Academic Affairs and Academic Support units. The provost is responsible for the planning, development, and continuous assessment of academic programs; faculty recruitment, appointment, tenure, and promotion; and the advancement of scholarly, creative, and service activities. The position plays a central role in institutional strategic planning, the allocation of academic resources, and fostering a culture of caring, innovation, and inclusive excellence across the University.
This is a full-time position that will be performed on site in Gunnison, CO, beginning Summer 2026. The expected compensation range for this position is $190,000-$210,000 with a generous benefits package. The Search Committee will begin to evaluate applications at the end of February 2026.
