About the Role

Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor and serving on the University Executive Board, the Provost will lead the educational mission of Galgotias University. This includes the strategic advancement of academic programmes, faculty development and institutional quality assurance. Working closely with the Vice Chancellor and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, the Provost will play a critical role in enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration, fostering a culture of innovation and strengthening the University’s global and national academic standing.

• Academic strategy, curriculum leadership and academic policy oversight
• Quality assurance, local and international accreditation and regulatory compliance
• Faculty recruitment, performance and leadership development
• Innovation in teaching and digital learning
• Academic governance and stakeholder engagement

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• A PhD or equivalent terminal academic qualification from a recognised institution
• Significant academic leadership experience at the level of Dean, PVC, or equivalent
• A demonstrable record of personal academic excellence
• Proven ability to lead large academic teams and deliver strategic outcomes

Desirable

• Familiarity with the Indian higher education landscape, including UGC, NAAC and other international regulatory frameworks
• Prior engagement with international academic collaborations or cross-border university leadership

Applications from experienced international candidates are strongly welcomed. Galgotias University provides full support for employment visa processing, relocation logistics and onboarding. English is the primary language of instruction and institutional communication. While knowledge of Indian higher education systems is an advantage, it is not a prerequisite. Structured orientation and ongoing institutional support will be provided.

Appointment Terms

This is a full-time executive leadership position based in Greater Noida. The initial term of appointment is for three to five years, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and strategic alignment. Remuneration will be competitive and aligned with international benchmarks.
