Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Political Science & International Affairs department on the Dahlonega campus. Assists in developing and disseminating department communications including but not limited to e-mails, social media posts, articles for department newsletters, development of related graphic design, initial drafts of letters for incoming students & other constituencies. May also assist with database functions related to PSIA strategic communications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare social media and email posts
- Create & execute social media campaigns
- Interview students, faculty, alumni and other constituents in person or via electronic means
- Write articles for public dissemination via newsletter and department homepage
- Other duties as assigned, including working with spreadsheets and databases
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn graphic design and social media related software associated with department communications
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
