About the position
The Psychological Health and Safety Business Partner is a newly created specialist role within the Health and Safety team, part of the Assurance group in the Commercial, Legal and Risk Division. The position provides expert advice and operational support to leaders, managers, Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and employees to strengthen the management of psychosocial hazards and psychological health across the University.
The role leads the implementation of psychosocial risk management initiatives and drives the integration of psychological health considerations into organisational systems, work design, leadership practices and governance frameworks. Drawing on extensive professional expertise, the Business Partner develops and evaluates programs, policies and processes, provides strategic advice within a complex operating environment, and identifies emerging risks, trends and opportunities to support informed decision-making.
Skills and Experience
- Degree or higher qualification in psychology or organisational psychology and /or health and safety.
- Demonstrated experience in occupational health and safety, with experience in psychological risk management, psychological health, organisational risk, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of Victorian occupational health and safety legislation and psychological hazard management requirements.
- Experience facilitating risk assessments and implementing organisational risk controls.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with leaders and stakeholders across complex environments.
