Description:
The Office of the Registrar at SUNY Purchase College is seeking a Part-Time Transfer Credit Evaluator to join our student-focused team (25 hrs/wk). This position plays an important role in helping incoming and continuing students understand how their prior and planned coursework applies toward their Purchase degree.

The primary responsibility of the position is to evaluate and process transfer credit, review transcripts and coursework, and determine how transfer courses apply toward major, minor, general education, upper-level, and total-credit requirements. The position also assists students with transfer credit pre-approval, including coursework planned through study abroad programs, and helps students understand their Degree Progress Reports and academic progress.

As a member of the Registrar's team, the Transfer Credit Evaluator will also be cross-trained in general Registrar operations and provide support across a range of student and academic record services. The position will interact directly with students in person, by phone, and via email and will collaborate with campus offices to resolve questions and ensure students receive accurate and timely information.

The position will also represent the Registrar's Office at transfer events, admitted-student programs, orientations, registration activities, and appropriate community college outreach events.
