About the Opportunity
Job Summary
The Institute for Cognitive and Brain Health is looking to hire a part-time, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with cardiology training and phlebotomy to assist with multiple funded studies across the Institute. Some of the studies that require an RN include the effects of lifestyle choices and health behaviors (e.g., physical activity, diet) and their physiological sequelae (e.g., fitness, adiposity) on brain and cognition; the relation between fitness level and speech and hearing across populations; and the interaction between stress and nutrition in pregnancy and infancy.
This individual should be licensed in the state of Massachusetts as an RN, have experience with electrocardiograms (EKGs), and be comfortable working with individuals across the lifespan, ranging from infants to older adults. Responsibilities include monitoring maximal exercise testing and conducting fasting blood draws on a variety of populations. Mornings are preferred; however, the individual should have some flexibility as needed for studies as participants are recruited. Additional hours may become available as studies launch within the Institute.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Massachusetts.
- Cardiology training.
- Experience with electrocardiograms (EKGs).
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Comfortable working with individuals across the lifespan, ranging from infants to older adults.
