This is an exciting time to join the Higher Education Quality Department at University College Birmingham. As part of our on-going developments in Higher Education, we are looking to grow our quality administrative support with professional administrative experience, excellent customer service skills and a high level of organisational ability to provide an efficient and quality service to students, staff and stakeholders
The post-holder will work as part of a team undertaking a diverse role which will include:
- Providing secretarial support to selected academic committees including the finalisation of agendas, dissemination of papers, provision of advice and guidance as well as formal minute taking and notes.
- Effective coordination and support for Periodic Review, Validation and Approvals, Module Review and similar.
- Updating and implementation of Quality procedures and systems including checking of consistency of these and other processes with regulatory requirements.
- Administrative responsibilities to External Examiners regarding programme and module requirements for draft assessments and marked student work.
- Maintain the Curriculum Management Systems and provide guidance and support to colleagues as necessary.
- Assist with effective coordination and support for internal and external quality reviews.
- Support effective implementation and operation of quality assurance systems and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental objectives.
