- Remuneration: $138,193 to $156,633 pa (HEW8) (inclusive of $116,774 to $132,357 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
- Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)
- Open to: The position is open to current staff members of QUT who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. In support of our strategic priority of Indigenous Australian success, Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander people who are not QUT staff are also eligible and encouraged to apply. Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Coordinator, Student Progression to join Student Administration, People Services, Administrative Division.
The Coordinator, Student Progression leads a high performing team to support students’ academic success and ensure compliance with the National Code for international students. We are looking for someone with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve results. In this role, you’ll drive proactive monitoring, timely interventions, and innovative solutions, while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement across the university. You’ll provide expert advice on policy and legislation, manage resources, and champion a student-focused approach to service delivery.

The Student Administration department makes a key contribution to the delivery of student services that span the student lifecycle: admission, enrolment, billing and invoicing, timetable management and class registration, examinations, results, records management, progression and graduation. The department supports international, domestic and research higher degree students, in collaboration with specialist service partners across the university..
What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications with demonstrated experience in leading client service operations within an education environment or similar
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team including responsibility for effective service delivery, workload management career planning, development, and performance expectations
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills including the interpretation of policy and compliance, legislative and regulatory documents and an ability to balance these requirements while achieving positive student experiences
- Proven ability to identify opportunities and lead a team that builds a culture committed to student success and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to compile complex reports, including relevant analyses, drawing data from a variety of sources, and presenting to a highly educated audience
- Demonstrated ability to provide specialised advice, manage complex and sensitive matters, interpret policies and guidelines, and prepare professional and effective communications to a wide range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate, build and maintain relationships across staff, colleagues, networks and other external bodies to support
