JCBC Building Services Team - Receptionist (Internal applicants only)
The Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre (JCBC) is a state-of-the-art research facility located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The JCBC houses up to 1000 staff and visitors across three different Department/Institutes.
The JCBC Building Services Team (BST) is looking for a proactive Receptionist to join their team. The post-holder will be a key member of the BST and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the front-of-house reception area and have experience in providing professional reception and administrative support to groups and visitors to the building.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Welcome staff, visitors and contractors at the main Reception desk.
- Manage security access cards accordingly.
- To assist with telephone calls, email enquiries, taxi bookings and approving of room booking requests.
- Carry out basic administrative tasks, including photocopying and scanning.
- Work with all departments in the JCBC to ensure data and security access is accurate.
Key requirements:
- Reception or customer service experience.
- Telephony experience.
- Attention to detail and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task and work unsupervised.
This role is permanent and office-based in the JCBC (no hybrid working). The preferred working hours are Monday to Friday, 0900-1700.
