Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit: The Department of Athletics exists to provide educational and athletic opportunities to young men and women.

Position Summary: The Recruiting Coordinator for Wrestling reports to the head coach and assists with all aspects of the Wrestling program including but not limited to: team travel, on-campus recruiting, match day planning and operations, supervision of student employees, organization and conduct of special events, donor relations, and promotion of the program and all its related events.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required (or foreign degree equivalent) with at least 1 year of experience in relevant independent instructional or educational activities.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience: Thorough knowledge of the sport of wrestling; strong interpersonal communications skills; knowledge of and familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations required. Must have a valid NC Driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience: Prefer strong computer skills and experience working in an intercollegiate athletics environment.

Special Physical/Mental Requirements: May be required to lift/move 25 lbs or greater. May be required to navigate stairs. Must be able to manage a fast-paced, high volume work environment.
