Responsibilities
The College of Fine Arts is seeking a dynamic and student-focused professional to lead and coordinate strategic efforts in student recruitment, admissions, and retention. This highly visible role serves as the primary liaison for prospective students and their families, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience from initial contact through enrollment. The position also plays a key leadership role in student engagement and orientation programming, working collaboratively across departments to enhance the student experience.
- Lead and implement recruitment, admissions, and retention strategies for the College of Fine Arts.
- Serve as the primary advisor and liaison for prospective students, families, and educational partners.
- Coordinate and execute new student orientation and college-wide outreach events.
- Collaborate with academic departments and university stakeholders to improve enrollment outcomes.
- Manage all aspects of campus tours and the visitor experience.
- Oversee training and daily support of student ambassadors and work-study students.
- Maintain communication with prospective and incoming students via social media, email, virtual platforms, and phone.
- Represent the College at college fairs, high schools, and recruitment events.
- Audit and manage student applications within the University’s applicant tracking system (Slate).
- Support student engagement programming and retention initiatives.
- Guide students toward academic, career, and wellness resources.
- Represent the Office of Student Success at campus partner events.
Qualifications
High School diploma and 2 years of experience or a combination of education and experience equal to 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to utilize suite of Microsoft Office applications (Specifically: Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Applicants should possess the ability to utilize problem-solving skills and will have a strong sense of initiative.
- Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature.
- Strong skills in positive, productive, and flexible customer service.
- The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing is required.
- Knowledge of academic resources available to students.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to students through the use of basic communication, helping, and problem-solving.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Knowledge of University admissions processes.
- Ability to operate College of Fine Arts golf cart for campus tours and participate in travel to college fairs and other events as needed.
- Experience working with Slate, the University applicant tracking system.

Starting in the mid to upper $30,000’s, commensurate with education and experience.
