Job Summary:
The Registered Vascular Tech will perform advanced imaging studies utilizing state-of-the-art ultrasound technology and physiologic imaging equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations including, but not limited to upper and lower extremity arterial duplex, upper and lower extremity venous duplex, aortoiliac duplex, renal duplex, mesenteric duplex, dialysis access evaluation, and pre-operative/post-operative vein mapping.
- Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
- Assumes responsibility for the safety of the patient during the ultrasound examination. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in patient status as appropriate.
- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, and referral, and attends to all age-related physical, spiritual, and psychosocial needs.

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
- Two (2) years of experience working as an Ultrasound Technician.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of vascular experience.
- Experience working in a vascular surgery or related practice.
- Experience setting up sterile and non-sterile procedure trays and medical procedure rooms.
- Experience with medical chart preparation and set-up.
- Experience working with EPIC
- Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS).
- Bilingual, Spanish preferred.
Conditions of Employment:
- Registered as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross healthcare provider level CPR certification.
- Must be willing to work in person.

- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, to include physicians, leadership, and staff within the various affiliate organizations (UCH, Children's Colorado, CU Medicine, CU SOM)

- Ability to compile complex reports and develop presentations
- Ability to compose letters and memorandums
- Ability to deal calmly and courteously with people
- Ability to deal with stressful situations
- Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $84,652 - $100,240.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
