Position Description
The Department of Sociology announces the opening of a regular faculty position in the sociology of work.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Teach classes in the sociology of work at all three cycles;
- Conduct research in the sociology of work.
The successful candidate for the position will be hired as a regular professor at Université Laval as of the date of his/her hiring.
Selection Criteria
- Doctorate completed by October 23, 2026, in Sociology or in a relevant discipline;
- Qualifications to teach sociology at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels and to provide teachings in the sociology of work;
- Teaching experience;
- Research expertise in the sociology of work;
- Strong publication record and achievements in research.
The successful candidate will be employed by Université Laval, where undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate teaching activities are conducted in French.
