Job Description
The Relationship Management Coordinator plays a central role in strengthening how Missouri S&T identifies, understands and advances its most important relationships. This position translates data into insight and insight into action, ensuring that Advancement leadership and frontline team members are equipped to make timely, informed decisions. Working closely with the Director of Relationship Management, this individual will drive greater clarity, consistency and momentum across relationship management efforts. This role also serves as a key connector across teams, supporting both strategic priorities and day-to-day operational needs within University Advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality profiles and summaries, including Event Briefings and preparations for Homecoming and Philanthropy Week, that deepen understanding of key relationships and inform engagement strategies
- Surface and advance high-potential opportunities within the existing donor base by translating giving activity, capacity insights and team input into clear, actionable direction
- Monitor relevant news and public information to provide timely updates that inform strategy and engagement
- Deliver comprehensive, insight-driven analysis using public and subscription-based tools (e.g., iWave, SEC/FEC filings, LexisNexis) and serve as a subject matter expert in CRM and platforms such as Advance and FundMiner to inform engagement strategy, due diligence and decision-making
- Partner with the Director of Relationship Management to strengthen portfolio strategy and execution, including portfolio reviews and leading key projects that enhance pipeline clarity and performance such as annual scoring projects
- Identify individuals with long-term engagement potential and support targeted outreach efforts, including coordinated communications and campaigns
- Manage departmental requisitions and purchase orders (procurement) while supporting broader operational needs across University Advancement
- Manage bi-annual planned giving outreach (spring and fall), including Pentera data and mailings, follow-up tracking, and ongoing identification and reassessment of legacy prospects
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, relationship management, nonprofit operations, or a related field
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insight
- Experience working with databases or CRM systems (Advance preferred) and data tools
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work and drive outcomes independently
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $20.00 hourly.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
