UAL’s Centre and Institute Operations Service seeks to recruit an experienced and proactive administrator to join the team on a part-time basis.

The successful candidate will work to support the Creative Research in Sound Arts Practice research centre (CRiSAP) based at London College of Communication (LCC), working with the Research Centre Manager, Director, and other colleagues across the Centre & Institute Operations team and related areas to deliver its diverse portfolio of activities.

The Centre and Institute Operations Department is a centralised team of professional services staff supporting the day-to-day research operations, including research centres, institutes and research projects across UAL.

CRiSAP is a research centre dedicated to the exploration of the rich complexities of sound as an artistic practice. Their main aim is to extend the development of the emerging disciplinary field of sound arts and to encourage the broadening and deepening of the discursive context in which sound arts is practiced.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent planning and organisation skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. You will be reliable and pride yourself on delivering high quality work, on time with excellent attention to detail.

You will be motivated, hardworking and diligent, able to work independently across multiple long-form projects, using your initiative and creative problem-solving skills, prioritising tasks when needed to deliver on time.

Excellent verbal and written skills are essential, along with experience of writing and delivering communications across a range of platforms and to a range of audiences.

You will have experience of planning and supporting events.

A knowledge and understanding of sound arts, practice-based research or another creative subject area is desirable.
