Offer Description
We are looking for a motivated Research Assistant to join our research team at INAB (Institute of Advanced Neuroscience of Barcelona) in our Barcelona laboratories. The ideal candidate should have a background in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, and a strong interest in experimental research on perception, consciousness, emotions, and human behaviour.
The position is suitable for a versatile profile who can support different stages of the research process, including experimental preparation, data collection, laboratory recordings, basic analysis, and support in scientific documentation.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, preparation, and execution of experimental protocols.
- Assist during laboratory recordings using techniques such as EEG, fNIRS, biosensors, eye-tracking, or behavioural tasks.
- Perform basic processing of research data.
- Support the preparation of scientific reports, presentations, ethics documentation, and publications.
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and technical staff in ongoing projects.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and research protocols.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Interest in the fields of perception, consciousness, cognition, and emotions.
- Ability to follow experimental protocols with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple tasks.
- Basic knowledge of research methods, experimental design, or data analysis.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Motivation to learn and contribute to a growing research environment.
