The role
We are looking for a part-time research assistant (1 day a week for a year) to work with us on a project that aims to develop a set of resources that support interdisciplinary working in environmental sustainability research and practice. You will be based in the Environmental Psychology Research Group (EPRG), University of Surrey. The project is supervised by Prof Birgitta Gatersleben at Surrey and Dr Ethny Childs from the institute of environmental sciences (IES | www.the-ies.org). It is funded by ESRC and part of the ACCESS program (ACCESS | Home What is ACCESS about).
About you
You must have a social science background (MSc/PhD) and experience/interest in environmental sustainability research and interdisciplinary working. Good communication and organisation skills are key.
You will be working alongside the team to analyse existing case studies, organise and run a series of interdisciplinary round tables, develop a set of resources and write reports.
You will be based at the EPRG at Surrey and will need to attend meetings and roundtables in London and possibly Exeter. We will cover your travel expenses.
You will be working on the project for 1 day a week for a year (Oct 2025 - Oct 2026). Timings can be flexible providing key deadlines are met and important meetings are attended.
