We seek to appoint a Research Assistant with a strong interest in language and cognition in neurological conditions, including aphasia. The project is a British Academy Funded Academy Research Project “DALIP: Database of Acquired Language Impairment Profiles”. The DALIP initiative aims to develop an open access, cross-sectional database of measures from multiple domains for People with Aphasia. The appointee will lead recruitment and data collection for the project, data analysis, liaising with different recruitment sites and charities, day to day administration and data management, preparing of open-access datasets, and disseminate the project outcomes across various academic and non-academic stakeholders. The post will include the opportunity for clinical experience within patient testing (within a research setting), working with charities and community groups that support people with aphasia, as well as working within a multi-disciplinary research team

You will have:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Excellent skills with Microsoft Excel for managing data sets.
• A BSc degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Speech & Language Therapy or a related discipline.
• A good working knowledge of how language and cognition is assessed following neurological damage.
