Research Assistant (Fixed Term)

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.

The Bennett School of Public Policy invites applications for a Research Assistant.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the new Bennett School of Public Policy (BSPP). The BSPP is part of the Faculty of Human, Social and Political Science. The BSPP has an ambitious growth plan including launching a new M.Phil in Digital Policy alongside an expanded M.Phil in Public Policy, and the development of a new PhD programme. It is led by its inaugural Director, Professor Michael Kenny and Professor Diane Coyle, the Bennett Professor of Public Policy.

The Research Assistant will undertake a range of research tasks in support of the Schools programmes of research, most likely in one or more of the following areas: institutions; governance; devolution; place-based policy; and public administration.

The successful candidate should have a good first degree in one of the Social Sciences or another cognate discipline, a good understanding of the policy-making process, and experience of qualitative or quantitative research methods (or both). They should be flexible and adaptable and may be called upon to support the events programme of the Institute.

The deadline for applications is 5 January 2025. It is anticipated that interviews will be carried out shortly after this.
