Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Spine Surgery of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534476)Applications are invited for the captioned post.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe appointee will be responsible for supporting various research projects conducted by the Division of Spine Surgery, including organizing data, managing research materials, conducting literature searches, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific-related field, such as biology or biomedical science
  • Prior research experience is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of basic research methodologies and statistical analysis tools
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse team of researchers and other stakeholders
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
