Experience:- Five years of relevant laboratory/ research experience.
Skills & Knowledge- Highly competent in several laboratory methods, procedures and techniques as well as the equipment and instruments.
- Ability to work independently and apply critical thinking and sound judgment.
- Ability to manage laboratory inventory and records; and to keep records.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Editorial skills for preparation of reports.
- Ability to work with and willingness to be exposed to hazardous materials such as radioactive materials, infectious materials, and/or hazardous chemicals.
- Knowledge of computers and software applications.
- Knowledge of standard computer software packages for data analysis and presentation, and on-line literature search engines.
Preferred Qualifications- Editorial skills for preparation of grant applications is highly desirable.

DescriptionLaboratory Management:- Oversees the day-to-day management of the principal investigator's laboratory to ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of equipment and supplies.
- Instructs others in laboratory methods, procedures, and techniques and provides technical guidance and direction as required.
- Advises on the need for and type of equipment purchases; locates manufacturers and suppliers.
- Communicates respectfully with a diverse community.
