Research Assistant in Biotechnology

About the role

This post will recruit a Research Assistant to join the Engineered Biotechnologies Research Group to work at the intersection of Biotechnology and Biomedical applications. This group brings together researchers from a range of disciplines including Engineering/Synthetic Biology, Control Engineering, Robotics, and AI, working on a range of applications at the intersection of these technologies. The post holder will work 20 hours per week to contribute to development of biomedical measurement approaches and collaborate with a broader team in testing these in a range of sensing applications.

About you

The post will be suitable for candidates with experience in fields including Engineering/Synthetic Biology, and/or its applications in Biomedicine. It is essential that applicants have experience in these areas, as well as experience in managing their own research and administrative activities in a laboratory environment. Experience in contributing to research publications and working as part of an interdisciplinary team is also beneficial.
