To be an active member of the research team assisting in the development of the research project and the planning and delivery of the research activity on the British Academy Global Professor project on The EU’s new frontiers of human rights at work: exploring and assessing how the EU uses international labour and human rights to address green, trade and supply-chain concerns. The post-holder will be resident in Belfast, be fully part of the QUB Law Department and work closely with the British Academy Global Professor, Claire Kilpatrick.

About the person:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Have or about to obtain a relevant PhD.
  • At least 3 years relevant research experience to include:
    • Advanced knowledge of EU law, especially labour and human rights, trade and environmental law, sustainable supply chain legislation and external relations.
    • Capacity to design and conduct fieldwork.

This post is available for 3 years or until 30 April 2029, whichever is soonest. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
