Research Assistant in Psychology
Do you want to contribute to improving human health?
In our research group, we study how digital media (i.e., computer games and social media) affect the mental health of children, adolescents, and young adults. We also have a particular interest in neuropsychiatric disabilities such as ADHD and autism, and how best to support these within schools and healthcare. We collaborate intensively with several different international research groups, as well as with several Swedish authorities and various patient organizations.
Your mission
As a research assistant in the group, your task is to support the research group leader with various tasks, such as literature searches, writing research reports, administrative work, and basic data analysis and processing. Some data collection via surveys or interviews may be included.
The position is full-time for 6 months, but there is the possibility of a shorter duration and possible extension.
Your profile
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology or a related subject is required for this position. Previous research experience in psychology or a related field (especially data analysis with SPSS or R) is an advantage. Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is required, as the research group has a strong international network and much of its communication is in English. You must also be able to read and understand scientific articles in English. Good knowledge of Swedish is an advantage. As a person, you are social, independent, can take your own initiative, and are meticulous. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
