Research Assistant [Internal Applicants Only] (Fixed Term)
THIS Institute (The Healthcare Improvement Studies Institute) is dedicated to generating robust evidence to support healthcare innovation and improvement. We work with NHS frontline staff, patients, policymakers, and many others to design studies that address real-world challenges. Our guiding principle is that improvement efforts should be grounded in high-quality evidence and shaped by the realities of patients and healthcare staff. Our research is developed with the people who deliver and receive care, making findings practical and actionable.
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant who will assist the research team in the collection and analysis of qualitative and/or quantitative data, in conducting literature reviews, in preparing data summaries and in contributing to writing-up of research findings. The successful candidate will work to support a range of research projects concerning the improvement of quality and safety in health care, improving the uptake and spread of good practice, and sustaining improvements in the way that care is delivered, as well as supporting the research infrastructure of THIS Institute.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant social or health science or related field or have equivalent qualifications or equivalent practical experience. They will have a good knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods and techniques, and excellent communication skills.
