"Research Assistant (Master’s Level)"

Position Overview

We are hiring a highly motivated, fast-thinking Research Assistant to join a two-year funded PIRF project focused on Ultra-Processed foods. The ideal candidate is sharp, proactive, tech-savvy, and very comfortable working with AI tools, digital surveys, data workflows, and mixed-methods research.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate participant recruitment and follow-up across community sites
• Lead data collection activities, including FFQs, dietary assessments, PHQ-4, and sociodemographic surveys
• Manage data entry, cleaning, and preliminary analysis
• Assist in planning and implementing the nutrition counseling intervention
• Support qualitative interviews, transcription, and coding
• Maintain project documentation and timelines
• Use AI-enabled tools daily to optimize workflow, transcription, coding, dashboarding, and document automation
• Contribute to manuscript preparation, briefs, and presentations

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field
• Strong research skills and experience in data collection or data management
• High digital literacy and comfort with AI platforms, survey tools, transcription software, and statistical packages
• Strong initiative, independence, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work efficiently under tight timelines
• Experience working with vulnerable populations is an asset
