The School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine (CU Medicine) invites applications for the post of full-time non-clinical Research Assistant Professor. Candidates with demonstrated expertise in computational biology, machine learning, multi-omics analysis and biomolecular prediction are particularly welcome. The School provides state-of-the-art computing infrastructure and access to core genomics and single-cell platforms.

Applicants should have (i) a Ph.D degree in Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline; (ii) postdoctoral experience in the analysis of single-cell and spatial transcriptomic data and the development of machine-learning methods for biomolecular interaction prediction; (iii) demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining reproducible computational pipelines; and (iv) a strong track record of research and publication in international peer-reviewed scientific journals in one or more relevant areas.  Breadth of experience across data modalities and analytical platforms, experience or publications in allergy or immune-mediated disease research, and familiarity with bioinformatics core facilities would be considered advantageous.

The appointee is expected to develop an independent research programme leading to publications in high-quality scientific journals and competitive external research funding; and contribute to teaching and postgraduate supervision.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years commencing in the first quarter of 2027, renewable subject to performance, funding availability and mutual agreement.
