About the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT)

The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore brings together physicists, computer scientists and engineers to do basic research on quantum physics and to build devices based on quantum phenomena. Experts in this new discipline of quantum technologies are applying their discoveries in computing, communications, and sensing.

CQT is hosted by the National University of Singapore. The Centre also has staff at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. With some 200 staff and students, it offers a friendly and international work environment.

Job Description

National Safe Quantum Network (NQSN) is a nationwide platform and a field-deployed testbed for quantum-safe communication technologies. The testbed performs the evaluation of quantum-safe security aspects and demonstrates the integration of quantum-safe applications, best practices, and use cases.

We are looking for a candidate who can actively contribute to:

• Writing and presentation of the technical documents that are conducted in NQSN testbed, such as landscape & scientific reports, meeting notes, standard drafts, regular update reports etc;
• Analysis of information relevant to quantum-safe technology, i.e. quantum key distribution (QKD) and post-quantum cryptography (PQC);
• Participation in all NQSN testbed activities and organisation of track records of NQSN testbeds, use cases and any relevant activities;
• Develop and enhance continuously relevant knowledge and skills in QKD and PQC;
• Maintain & coordinate project timelines, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables;
• Prepare detailed progress reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders;
• Conduct editorial and proofreading of relevant documents;
• Reporting progress updates to the team on regular basis;
• Performing other related functions as assigned, based on project needs;

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, electrical engineering, computer science or a related field;
• Good at English: writing, reading and speaking;
• Experiences in scientific and/or engineering projects;
• Basic knowledge in quantum information science and technologies;
• Able to work independently and in a team environment;

Candidates possessing additional skills relevant to the position will be given preference:

• Advanced knowledge in QKD and PQC;
• Knowledge in cybersecurity, cryptography, information security;
• Knowledge in Computer network & systems engineering;
• Master’s degree in related field
